About this job

As Product Manager and team lead, your role is to work with stakeholders – including executives – and the team to understand requests in detail (including the audience, goals, requirements), and manage priorities, timelines and core team approach accordingly. For some projects, you may need to work with others across Technical Infrastructure to assemble and deploy a project team with the right skills. In all cases, you will own the development of project execution plans and report progress back to project stakeholders and sponsors. An ability to instil trust and respect confidentiality is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead stakeholder and executive/leadership relationships, interactions and management
  • Working with software engineers, UX designer, researchers, research engineers and program managers
  • Providing a single point of contact for handling requests
  • Facilitating prioritisation discussions jointly with the requestor – understanding the priority of the requests, calling out trade-offs and dependencies, discussing and agreeing timelines
  • Assembling and deploying teams on projects, including liaising with Technical Infrastructure leads
  • Project management, including reporting progress
  • Planning the evolution of long-lived projects, incorporating new research findings, new technical requirements, and new user needs
