Archiving the Slovenian web: recent experiences

The National and University Library and the Jozef Stefan Institute are collaborating in a joint project, which is aimed at the development of a national repository for long-term preservation of Slovenian web and electronic resources by Slovenian authors. This two-year project, which is to be completed in September 2004, was sponsored by the Slovenian government. The project has two main goals ie to develop a methodology for archiving the Slovenian web and to build a web crawler. In this paper we describe the recent experiences.
