Edited by Bojan Borstner and John Shawe-Taylor, these are the proceedings of the conference held in August 1994 as part of the European Community TEMPUS project. Speakers ranged from veteran philosopher Ullin Place, to physicist Basil Hiley, best known for his collaboration with David Bohm. These edited selected proceedings include original contributions and review papers covering neuropsychology, physics, philosophy and cognitive science.
