Pedestrian safety is one of the prime requisites of any transportation system. For ensuring pedestrian safety infrastructure development is needed. In Bangladesh, many pedestrians are the main victims of road accidents. The safety issues of pedestrians are often neglected, and not enough development is seen. The major concerns could be shallow footpaths, lack of road crossing facilities, lack of planning of important structures, driver faults etc. This study will focus on the condition of pedestrian safety in Bangladesh. The world is also adopting new technologies such as autonomous vehicles. Pedestrian behavior is a major concern in this sector. A questionnaire survey was conducted to get the view of pedestrians about their safety on road, review the pedestrian safety infrastructure available like footpaths, foot over bridges and get an overview of the overall pedestrian behavior.
